Film and Television Association of the NT

The Background

FATANT is a critical player in industry development, particularly as an advocate for industry interests and objectives, and increasingly as the major player in policy development.

FATANT has become the key organisation representing local businesses and practitioners in the film and television industry here in the NT.

As a volunteer association FATANT lives and breathes via the commitment and engagement not only of its management committee but also of the entire local industry.

Becoming a financial member of FATANT:

As a financial member of FATANT you are entitled to the following:

• all corporate members, corporate staff members and full members are able to advertise within the production directory on the FATANT website
• a deliberative vote at the Annual General Meeting
• full access to the membership section of the FATANT website
• email notification of professional development workshops and other related FATANT activities
• reduced fees at FATANT professional development activities (as scheduled)
• access to the FATANT Facebook page to contribute to discussion relating to the film and television industry in the NT
• nominate for a position on the FATANT Management Committee (nominations must be forwarded to the committee at least 1 week prior to the Annual General Meeting)

Membership Types

Corporate membership - $150

Corporate membership:

• provides your business all the entitlements of any other financial member
• entitles your company to be represented within the FATANT production directory found on our website.
• requires at least one industry credit for this type of membership.
• entitles your business to register individual employees as corporate staff members of FATANT at a reduced rate of $10.  This gives each individual corporate staff member the right to be additionally represented within the production directory.

Corporate Staff membership - $10

Corporate staff membership:

• is only available to employees of businesses that are already corporate members of FATANT.
• requires at least one industry credits but this credit may be the same as that provided by the corporate body.
• entitles individual staff employees to all of the rights of financial membership.
• entitles individuals to be separately represented on the FATANT production directory.

Full Membership - $50

Full membership:

• is for individuals that do not require their company to be represented on the FATANT production directory but are working professionals within the Film and Television Industry here in the NT.
• requires at least one industry credit to be provided on application.
• entitles individuals to all of the rights of financial membership.
• entitles individuals to be represented on the FATANT production directory.
• does not entitle business names to be represented on the FATANT production directory.

Associate Membership - $30

Associate membership:

• is for individuals who are not necessarily working as full time professionals in the Film and Television Industry here in the NT, are emerging filmmakers with limited industry credits, for businesses or individuals associated with the film and television industry that are not requiring representation on the FATANT production directory.
• entitles individuals and businesses all of the rights of financial membership.
• does not entitle individuals or business to be represented on the FATANT production directory.
• No industry credits are required for this type of membership.

Student Membership - $10

Student membership:

• Is for individuals currently enrolled in an education course (full or part-time).
• entitles individuals to all of the rights of financial membership.
• Proof of educational status will be requested post registration (e.g. scanned copy of your student card or enrollment letter).
