TV Funding Blueprint: Comments Closing Next Monday

A proposed new blueprint for Screen Australia’s television funding was released on 19 November 2010 by Chief Executive Ruth Harley during her address at the Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) conference in Sydney.

The blueprint is the first key milestone in Screen Australia’s review of its funding of 'small screen' content production, announced 18 June 2010, to ensure that the organisation is supporting the television production industry and Australian storytelling in an optimum way. Screen Australia want your views on a number of issues raised in the draft blueprint.

The 2011 West End Film Festival (WEFF) film entry deadline approaching

The 2011 West End Film Festival (WEFF) is accepting Australian short films for just another few weeks!

All genres are welcomed, as well as first time and established filmmakers.

It is FREE TO ENTER and there are CASH PRIZES on offer.

An awards ceremony and gala event will take place on Sunday March 27th 2011 at the Rumpus Cinema (directly behind West End’s Rumpus Room bar).

FILM SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS 31 DECEMBER 2010!

 

Comments sought on the revised draft Commercial Filming Policy

In 2009 the Parks and Wildlife Service of the NT through the NT Film Office sought comments from the NT screen industry on a Commercial Filming Policy they are developing for the NT’s parks and reserves.

The Parks and Wildlife Service of the NT has taken into account the comments provided last year and produced another draft.
