Pieter de Vries has worked in documentary, tv and commercial production and short films, and has shot these productions in many formats: 16 & 35mm film, Viper, Sony F23/35, Digital Betacam and Red camera systems. He has worked with the Sony Corporation on the testing phases of new HD camera technology and with US director James Cameron as topside cinematographer for the 3D Imax film , “Ghosts of the Abyss”. Pieter is regularly required to shoot for productions in overseas locations and is a regular contributor to publications such as MacWorld, Better Digital Camera, Content & Technology and Australian Cinematographer.
